Sports Photography
Every so often I'll wander into a sporting event and can't help but take some photos. Typically I work the crowds around the event and photograph the spectators, but every so often I'll aim my camera at the event itself. These are those photos. And as always, all these sports photos are taken on film.
Number 3April 2011 - Coincidently enough, he finished third.
The NinjaApril 2010 - Ninja ready to attack, or runner doing some warm up stretches?
The WinnerApril 2010 - Jeremy Polson. Immediately after crossing the finish line to win the 2010 Fitger's 5k.
649April 2010 - I like the frenzy of shadows in this particular photo. There was large building with many glass windows across the street. The windows were reflecting the sun back down to the road, which is why some shadows are going the in opposite directions.
Boot HockeyJanuary 2009 - Some good old fashion Minnesotan backyard hockey action.
BeatSeptember 2008 - In the finish area of the 2008 Minnesota Mile footrace.
Wesly Ngetich, 2007June 2007 - Marathon runner Wesly Ngetich, seven months before his untimely death due to political violence. More info about the his death, and this photo can be found in my blog post: Wesly Ngetich and I.
3598June 2007 - Grandma's Marathon, 2007.
Hose GirlJune 2007 - Spectator cooling the runners. Grandma's Marathon, 2007
SmokingJune 2007 - What to do while watching people run twenty-six miles? Smoke!
