Fallout 3 Photography - Screenshots From The Wastes
K. PraslowiczHi! I don't do as much text blogging as I used to, as most of my efforts have shifted towards video content. Please consider subscribing to my YouTube channel.
View The ChannelI’ve always had a fascination with the post apocalyptic world. Much of what I shoot that ends up in the entropy gallery on this site are images of our world that I feel are glimpses into this alternate reality where humans no long are as dominant as we currently are. With the release of Fallout 3 on the 28th of October, I’ve been well absorbed in this world that I often try to hunt out in my photographs, and have been neglecting my own photographic work a bit more then usual. But, since the game is as highly immersive as it is, I thought I’d pick up the slack and try to do something in-game that I’ll most likely never do in real life, post-apocalyptic street photography.
I’ve gotten into the groove of taking screen shots of unpredictable events as I play though Fallout 3 that involve other characters. Afterwards I crop the screenshots to a 35mm aspect ratio, and do some post processing to achieve the same aesthetics that I go for with my own real-world street photography.
The following Fallout 3 Screenshots are the results of this process, and I’ll continue to add more as I make them. Fine art in the digital wastelands.
And yes, this is legit art.
