I'm not going to shoot your wedding

2012 Arrowhead Biennial

For any of you followers out there who are geographically close to me – tomorrow (December 10th) is the opening reception for the 2012 Arrowhead Biennial at the Duluth Art Institute. I’m excited for it this year as my photo Swamped Volvo got picked by the juror Ben Heywood – Executive Director of The Soap Factory in Minneapolis – to be part of the exhibition.

I’ve always held the notion in my heart that the printed images are the only true complete versions of my photography. Color can vary widely between viewing devices, but more importantly, the files I put on the web just can’t accurately show the lush detail & subtly that my photo process is capable of creating in the way that as large printed image can. So come check it out! Reception details can be found here.

Do you drum scan these 8X10s and then print digitally or do you have color prints made from the negative?

Scan on a V700. Anything up to 16×20 I print at home. 16×20 or larger I take to a local professional printer who has the larger Epsons.
