How to use a Leica - A Practical Guide

Step 1: Acquire Leica and secure loose bits

Step 2: Find an environment with active human engagement

Step 3: Proceed until something is busted and blood has been drawn

Step 4: Enjoy the results

Step 5: Repair your Leica

Step 6: Return to Step 2

So maybe this isn't the most practical way to use a Leica camera, but it is the way I used mine for a few years.

Does your Leica (M3?) actually need this bright green tape on it (why not use black?) and the yellow label on the back (is there a light leak?). Flash with a Leica seems at odds with the 'stealth' mentality many Leica users adopt, are are you deliberately bucking the trend to make a point.

I used green tape because that is what I had on hand when I needed to tape some parts down. Later on (is seen in the photo) I used some silver tape to replace some green tape, because that was what I had on hand then.

I don't care for 'stealth' thing. I find that being completely obvious and gaining social acceptance with the crowd you want to photograph is far more productive than being creepy stealth.
