Of all the gear a photographer can accumulate over their artistic career, none is more important than a sharp vision. Upgrading to the best lens in the world won’t do a lick of good if they have no vision. If you believe in the Helsinki Bus Station Theory, time spent learning and understanding the work of other photographers is an important step in developing your own style. The best way to nourish those ideas is with a good photo book collection. Here is a list of what I currently own.
