I met Kip Ross when I was about 9 years old. He was the brother of a close friend of my father’s, and a photographer for the National Geographic. Knowing him, listening to his stories, remains one of the most remarkable experiences of my life. Thank you for this post. If it might be possible for you to copy and share his book with me, I would treasure it. He and his wife bought a Kodak Brownie box camera for me, and she continued to send me the Nat. Geo. for years after his death, but what I recall most clearly were his stories about his work in Central and S. America, especially Panama and Peru. Thank you so much for this post. He was brilliant and had such great depth and understanding of the human condition, along with profound humility.
