I used a Mamiya twin lens constantly while a US Navy photographer.
Recently bought a Nex-3 and plan to explore street shooting with the viewer in horizontal. I think a big reason for negative reactions to eye-level street shots is their similarity to pointing a gun. It’s often perceived as aggressive, even an assault, by the subject. Twin lens has this passive head down pose, ie., receptive. I look forward to seeing how people react.
