Replying to comment by Brandon Thomas on When Photographs Become Historical.

Brandon Thomas

In early December, a good friend of mine suddenly died. He had a heart attack, and was comatose for a week before passing away.

Just a few weeks before his death, we were playing around, and he sat for some portraits. My last photo of him is his ridiculous face as he eats a bowl of cereal. I’m sad to be missing my friend, he was in a lot of ways someone who helped me understand myself and other people better.

When I read this post, I immediately thought of him, and your connection with Wesly Ngetich. I am happy that I will always have my connection with Thomas, and it wouldn’t have been the same without my camera.
