During the first few winter months of 2020 I had a thought that once the snow melted, I’d make an attempt at hiking 100 miles with the purpose of taking photographs. Originally the idea existed as an alternative to Biking with Cameras where I would be able to carry more varied gear without the fear of rattling the cameras to death. But after the COVID-19 pandemic erupted, the idea to take up hiking with cameras became more about giving me a socially distant venue to keep photographing.
I’m primarily focused on using this challenge to finally give my medium format Rolleiflex SLX camera some well-needed love. The photographs, as I take them, will be uploaded to this page. And the entirety of the hikes will be available in a vlog form video series over here on YouTube.
