Great Lakes Auto Show

As a disclaimer, I am not a car guy in the traditional sense. I can maybe identify a few makes & models by sight, but those just tend to be the cars that I have personally owned. I do however take notice of general design trends of cars over time, and appreciate the humble automobile's role in photography.

This gallery isn't about tracking down rare autos to take photographs of or looking for pristine, car show ready specimen of any particular vehicle.

This collection of photographs is mainly about automobiles that I find that I think have an interesting design, even if it is, or was an extremely common model.

It is also about finding some beauty in the interesting ways that automobiles age and wear out over time. How older cars tend to rust and get mangled because of being made of more metal than contemporary cars are. But also how modern cars tend to age by having the plastic bits shatter and fall off instead of rusting and bending.

This gallery might not be good at actually identifying makes and models of automobiles I end up posting. But please leave a comment on a photo if you happen to know the make and model so I can go back and update the titles.
