I on the other hand live in a much smaller city where one wuld think nothing of one taking a photo of the accident. It makes for an interesting photograph and the owner of the damaged car wuld probably ask for a copy of the photo for his records. But other than that it really does make a dreamy and beautiful photo one that if put on the wall would make one go hmm.
Nice one. Now I must ask did anyone angrily approach you about standing there with a huge camera and tripod recording their misery? In NYC you can get away with it very easily but in smaller cities I might be a little nervous...

There was a police car directly out of the scene to my left. At one point the officer rolled down the window and looked at me. I waved and went working the camera. That was the extent of it.
Hell, if I were the one who crashed my car, I'd probably be happy if someone strolled by to make art out it. Better than nothing!
I love this scene. I love how Minnesota it is.. the winter fender-benders that usually happen in slow mo. Mostly it invokes a feeling of nostalgia... my days spent homeless and in active addiction. Walking those cold, late nights/early mornings of my little MN small town I never felt cold, I felt a strange freedom. This photo reminds me of that.
